All the skills required for a successful career, such as good communication, leadership and managerial skills are entirely relevant in everyone’s day-to-day life. Whilst we tend to put a lot of time, energy and resources into becoming a better person at work, we often forget that improving all of these skills in our personal life will play a major role in improving our relationships, be it with a partner, children or any other relations.
The horse’s ability to mirror our emotions and to synchronise with our stress level helps us become aware of the emotions that we go through and how we can control them better. By creating an unfamiliar, and somewhat intimidating environment, horses teach us to be calm and communicate clearly even when we are out our comfort zone. Horses also teach us to be aware of - and therefore control - our body language and the messages we often send unconsciously through our body language.
